16 KB page size checker for APK and AAB files
Drop in a build and see, library by library, whether it runs on 16 KB page devices. No Android SDK, no NDK, and the file never leaves your computer.
LOAD alignment
Each .so must be linked with 16 KB segments: every LOAD program header aligned to 16384 (0x4000). NDK r28 does this by default; older NDKs need -Wl,-z,max-page-size=16384.
Zip alignment
Libraries stored uncompressed in an APK are mapped straight from it, so each must start on a 16 KB boundary. AGP 8.5.1+ does this. Compressed libraries are extracted at install and skip this check.
Why now
From 1 February 2027 Google Play won't accept app updates that don't support 16 KB pages. Only 64-bit libraries (arm64-v8a, x86_64) are judged; 32-bit ones are listed.
How we tested real APKs, the zipalign check that passes when it shouldn't, and the fixes for React Native, Expo and Flutter: Android 16 KB page sizes: check your APK.
