Find an iPhone or iPad UDID

Ad hoc and development builds install only on devices whose UDID is in the profile. Get it from Safari in a minute: no Mac, no cable, no app, and nothing stays on the device.

1

How it works

The device downloads a one-off Apple “profile service” profile signed for aipps.dev. Installing it makes iOS send the UDID, model identifier and iOS build to us, and the profile goes away by itself. Settings shows each step.

2

Register it in your team

In Apple Developer, Certificates, IDs & Profiles, open Devices, press + and paste the UDID, or upload the device list file. Then make the ad hoc profile again (Xcode's automatic signing adds every team device) and rebuild.

3

What we keep

Only what you see: the UDID, model identifier and iOS build, for 10 minutes so the computer that started the lookup can show them too, then the row is deleted. “Forget it now” deletes it at once. No name, serial or phone number is asked for.

Building on aipps? aipps devices invite sends testers a register link that adds their phones to your team for you, and the next build installs on them. Check which devices a build already has with the IPA and APK inspector, then make an install link.
